When preparing your submission here are a few items to consider that may impact the timeline, budget and approval of your project:

Does your project involve work in the vicinity of trees? Is there any tree protection required under the Private Tree Bylaw?
Is irrigation required? Is there an existing water source on site?
Consider requirements for set back from other property
Who owns the property? Who needs to approve the work?
If your project involves construction or renovation of a structure, a building permit may be required
All relevant safety measures must be in place during construction
Please include an ongoing maintenance plan and/or an operating plan as required

Agree to share information about project, including number of people involved in activity, testimonials, photos, overview of project results, copies of receipts and final budget

Indicate the neighbourhood impacted by the project or the location where the project is taking place. (North-South-West-East street boundaries and description of the neighbourhood).

Describe the neighbourhood project in 500 words or less.

Describe the project goals and expected outcomes from the project (Outcomes are the changes that happen as a direct result of your project. These changes could make a difference to the environment, the community or the people who benefit from project).

Describe how the idea for the project came about. Who was involved?

Describe the support from the neighbourhood for the project. Be as specific as possible. Demonstrate far-reaching and diverse support for your project.

Describe how your project will engage, involve, or encourage participation from the broader neighbourhood or Burlington community.
